Here is an honest account of the information Sotira Collective asks for, the reason we ask, and the limits we keep to. Our obligations under the DPDP Act 2023 shape all of it.

Data we actually need

  • Order and delivery details: The delivery address, your name, a working mobile number and an email address. The mobile is passed to the courier so they can call you.
  • Payment confirmation: Only the confirmation of payment. No instrument details are ever held on this site.
  • If you contact us: The text of your enquiry and any attachments, stored against the relevant order number.
  • Technical logs: The server writes ordinary access logs, which we consult for security and fault-finding only.

Where we draw the line

  • Selling or trading personal data is not part of this business.
  • Buying something does not sign you up to anything.
  • There are no ad-network pixels or cross-site trackers embedded here.
  • We do not collect government identifiers of any kind.

Where your data goes

Only those who have to: the courier for delivery, the host for storage, the mail provider for messages. Each is bound to use the data solely for that job.

The one other case is a lawful demand from an authority. We would comply, and would inform you where we are allowed to.

How long records stay

Order and billing records are retained for statutory periods. Everything else, including support mail and logs, is cleared once it stops being useful.

Exercising your rights

The DPDP Act 2023 gives you the right to see your data, correct it, and have it erased where no legal duty requires us to retain it. Email assist@sotiracollective.shop to use any of those rights.

We will verify the request before answering it, usually by corresponding through the email address on file.
